High Potential and Gifted Education

Our school actively promotes the High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) policy across all four domains; Creative, Intellectual, Physical and Social–Emotional by using ongoing assessment and data to identify and support the specific learning needs of high potential and gifted students. Educators apply objective, valid, and reliable measures to assess students and develop differentiated learning programs that extend and challenge them beyond their current mastery in each domain. We collaborate with families, the school community, and wider networks to support talent development, ensuring equitable access to quality learning opportunities tailored to every student's background and needs. Additionally, our staff engage in professional learning to enhance expertise in planning effective learning experiences, while fostering a culture of high expectations and evidence-informed teaching to create optimal learning environments for all students. Regular evaluation of school procedures, programs, and student growth informs our planning and ongoing policy implementation, ensuring that every high potential and gifted student is supported to achieve their educational potential across creative, intellectual, physical, and social–emotional domains.
